Ingredients: (to prepare 12-15)
Milk Powder (full cream milk powder) – 1/2 cup
sugar – 1 cup
Maida (all purpose flour) – 1 tablespoon
Sooji (ravai) – 1 tablespoon
Milk – 4 tablespoons
Cardamom- 3
baking soda or soda salt – a pinch

Method:
1. Grind the cardamom with 2 tablespoons of sugar (from the 1 cup of sugar we are using) and mix it with the remaining sugar.
2. Add the sugar and 3/4 cup of water in a pan and allow it to boil for 3-4 minutes and prepare sugar syrup.
3. Add the remaining ingredients except milk in a large bowl and mix together and then knead it into a soft dough by adding milk little by little.
4. Allow the dough to rest for 15 to 30 minutes and then prepare small sized dough balls.
5. Fry these dough balls in very low heat oil in a low to medium flame for about 5 minutes until it becomes dark brown colour and then remove.
6. Add the removed jamuns directly into the prepared sugar syrup and allow to boil for 5 minutes in medium flame.
7. Allow to cool down and serve.
