Ingrdients: (to prepare 12-15)
Raw rice (pacharisi) – 250grams
Sugar – 75grams
Thick coconut milk – 100 ml

Method :
1. Soak the rice in 3 cups of water for 2 hours. Then drain the water well and grind it into a fine powder using a mixer.
2. Sieve the ground rice well making sure, there are no lumps or coarse rice. Grind the unsieved coarse rice again and sieve.
3. Add the sugar and thick coconut milk in a large bowl and mix it well with a spoon for 6-7 minutes continuously until the sugar is dissolved and then add the prepared rice powder.
4. Mix it well to prepare a smooth batter. If your coconut milk is very dilute, then the batter will also be vary dilute. So be careful while preparing the coconut milk and prepared it thick.
5. Heat the oil well and immerse the achu murukku mould in the oil for 2 minutes and take it out of the oil and immediately dip it in the prepared batter, making sure not to immerse it fully and leave a small gap on the top of the mould.
6. Dip it for just a few seconds and immediately take it out of the batter and immerse it again in the hot oil and shake it gently, so that the batter leaves the mould. Once it leaves the mould, immerse the mould again in hot oil, to prepare it for the next murukku.
7. Fry it for a minute until golden brown and crispy and remove. Repeat it until all the batter is done.
