Tomato puree is the one ingredient that is frequently required in many recipes. We use store bought puree which may contain many preservatives. Now you can make tomato puree at home that too without any preservatives. Here is the easy and simple recipe of tomato puree at home. Do try it and let me know. Ingredients:
• 7 Medium size Tomatoes
• 2 tbsp Beet

Method:
• Wash the tomatoes really good and give a cross cut on them.
• Cut the beet into pieces.
• In a cooker pot add beet first and then tomatoes.
• Add water in cooker and put the pot in it.
• Close the lid and cook on medium heat until 2 whistles.
• Take the pot out and let it cool down.
• Remove the skin of tomatoes and out them into a dish.
• Transfer the cooked tomatoes and beet into a blender jar and
blend into puree.
• Do not use any water in which we cooked tomatoes and beet.
• Take a bowl and strainer and strain the puree through it.
• This will help in removing the skin of tomato if any and seeds too.
• Tomato puree is already.

Tips:
• If you give cross cut to tomatoes it helps in removing the skin of
them easily after cooking.
• Beet gives nice color and thickness to tomato gravy. It also
increases nutritional value and helps in decreasing the acidity in
tomatoes.
• You can use the water in which you cooked tomatoes for making
paratha, soup or pav bhaji.
