Ingredients:

Cumin seeds / Jeera – 1/4 cup
Instructions:

In a wide pan add the cumin seeds and roast them at medium heat till they are golden and aromatic.
It would take about 2 minutes. (Do not over roast the jeera seeds, they might taste bitter).
Remove from heat and transfer to a plate.
Let them cool completely.
Grinding Method-1:
Transfer it into a grinder and grind to make a fine powder.
Your roasted Jeera Powder is ready.
Grinding Method-2:
Transfer roasted cumin seeds on a working surface and grind it into a fine powder using a rolling pin. Your roasted Jeera Powder is ready.
PS: Store it in an airtight container and keep it at room temperature.
You can store and use this powder for a couple of months.
