Description :
Uddina hittu / udnittu, or uddina hittina gojju / Urad dal recipe is protein rich, calcium rich, spicy side dish which goes well with rice. THis is one of the popular foods from Udupi Mangalore region of Karnataka.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp split black gram / Uddina bele/urad dal
3/4 tsp salt or salt to taste
few curry leaves
Finely chopped 4 green chillies(more or less)
finely chopped coriander leaves
For seasoning:
2 tsp coconut oil
little hing
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1 curd chilli/balakada menasinakayi
around 1/2 cup water to soak the uddina bele/dal
1/2 cup sour curd/yogurt (if the curd is not sour add some lemon juice to the gojju)

Summer holidays, cooking dishes from swayampaaka, I've had this gojju, only few people know, you've grinded urad into batter, we use urad flour and mix it in curd.

Mam u can dry roast uddin bele and make this receipe. That's how I do by grinding it so that you can store the powder and make when ever you want
