Ingredients
Idli Rice – 2 Cup
Urad Dal (Black Gram) – 1 Cup
Potato – 3
Onion -1
Green Peas – 1/4 Cup
Ghee – 2 Tsp
Butter – 1 Table aSpoon
Toor Dal – 2 tsp
Powdered Toor Dal – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Green Chilli -1
Coriander Leaf – Chopped
Sunflower Oil – 2 Table SPoon
Preparation
Step I- Preparing the batter
-Soak Rice and Urad Dal (Black Gram) for about 6 Hrs
-Grind these in the mixer grinder
– In a vessel mix well and keep for fermenting overnight for about 8 Hrs
Step II- Preparing the Chilli toppings for dosa
– Take 2 tsp gram flour in a bowl
(fry the gram and grind in the mixer to make gram flour)
-Add 1/4 tsp salt
-Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
– Add 2 tsp ghee and mix well
– Now the chilli topping is ready and keep it aside
Preparing the Masala
– Add 2 tsp oil in to the pan
– Once the oil is hot add Cumin seed
– once the cumin seed changes the colour add dal & fry for 1 min.
-Now add Onion
– Once the onion is half fried add green pease and cook for 5 mn with lid on
-Add salt to taste and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
– Mix & Add crushed potato
– Mix well & Add chopped coriander leaf.
– Masala stuffing is ready and keep it aside.
StepIII- Preparation of Masala Dosa
– Add 2 tsp salt in the batter and mix well
– Oil the pan and spread the batter in a circular motion
– Make the base thin and fry for about 5 min
– Add 2 tsp ghee
-Now spread the chilli paste as toppings
– Add the masala and fold it.
The masala dosa is ready.
It tastes good with sambar and chutney.
