Ingredients

Matta rice – 1 cup
Grated coconut – ¾ – 1 cup
Green cardamom- 3
Cashewnut – 1 tbsp
Raisins – 1 tbsp
Jaggery – ¾ cup – 1 cup
Ghee – as needed
Rose matta rice is used here. It is washed and drained. Rice is then roasted till they give a crackling sound and changes its color. Green
cardamom is added to give a nice aroma. Jaggery is added to sweeten rice ladoos. Ingredients are ground well to get a gritty textured mixture. Cashews and raisins are fried and added as well, which is optional.
The mixture is later rolled into balls. These ladoos can be kept up to 2 days. For longer use, please refrigerate.
