Dal is a term used in the Indian subcontinent for dried, split pulses. The term is also used for various soups prepared from these pulses.

Ingredients needed for jeera rice are :

Jeera Rice – Javitri – 1
Black Cardamom – 1
Cinnamon – 1
Cloves – 2
Bay leaves – 2
Jeera – 1 and 1/2 tsp
Cashews
Green Chilies – 5 to 6
Few Curry Leaves
Onion – 1
Cooked Rice – 2 cups
Oil – 1 tbsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Salt

Ingredients needed for Dal are :

Jeera – 1 tsp
Chilies – 4
Red chilies – 2
Onion – 1
Ginger paste -1 tsp
Garlic paste – 1 tsp
Tomato -1
Dhaniya powder – 1 tsp
Toor dal – 1 small cup
few Coriander leaves
Water
Salt
Oil
