INGREDIETS
Oil for frying
Rice flour-2cups
Moong dal-1/2cup
Butter-25g
Asafoetida-4tsp
Sesame seed-4tsp
Salt to taste
METHODS
1. In a kadai, dry roast the moong dal till nice aroma (3-5 minutes) at medium flame and blend it to a fine powder and keep aside.
2.Then ,in a mixing bowl ,add rice flour,butter,asafoetida,sesame seed,moong dal powder enough salt and mix well.
3. Add the add water little by little and make a soft dough .
4.Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying.
5.Take a handful of dough and place this in a murukku presser,make round shape ina paper towel and transfer it to the oil,cook in a medium flame until golden colour.
6.Now moong dal murukku ready to serve with hot tea.
