BREAD
Milk – 1 cup

Water – 1 cup

Yeast – 2 tsp

Sugar – 2 tbsp

Salt – 1 ¼ tsp

Maida – 3 ½ cup

Oil / butter – 2 tbsp

Egg yolk

PATTY

Chicken – 1kg

Garlic – 5 big cloves

Ginger – a medium piece

Pepper

Italian herbs

Chilly flakes

FRENCH FRIES

Potato – 2 large

Vinegar

Salt

Corn flour

Oil

Tomato

Onion

Lettuce

Ketchup

Hi everyone, today I am going to make an easy chicken burger from scratch at home.

So first, we need to make the bread and for that add a cup of milk and a cup of water into saucepan and heat it gently until the mixture has turned just lukewarm.

When it has done lukewarm, turn off the flame and add two teaspoons of yeast, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 ¼ teaspoon of salt and mix everything really well until well Incorporated.

Next, add three and half cups of plain flour into a large mixing bowl and then add the milk mixture and 2 tbsp of oil into the flour and mix it with a spoon to make a soft and loose batter.

Once the batter is ready, close it with a cloth or a lid and let it rest for around 3 to 4 hours in a warm place to rise.

After around 3 to 4 hours, the dough will have risen by twice.

At this stage, grease a plate with oil and transfer the batter on to the plate and knead it gently with your hands and then transfer it into a baking tin and brush an egg yolk on top of the dough and sprinkle a few black sesame seeds on top of the bread and bake it for around 40 to 45 minutes at 400° fahrenheit.

When the bread is completely ready, let it cool down completely before removing it from the baking tin.

Next, to prepare the chicken patties, grind a kilo of boneless chicken with fat, five cloves of garlic, a medium piece of ginger and some salt and pepper to taste, into a fine paste.

Next, transfer it into a bowl and season it with some Italian seasonings and some chilli flakes..

Next, grease your hands with some oil and roll it out into the shape of a big patty as you can see in the video and set it aside.

Next, heat an iron pan and shallow fry the patties on both the sides until the sides turn golden and the chicken cooks through..

Once that is done, set the patties aside until we assemble the burger.

Next it’s time to make the French fries, for that, peel and wash two large potatoes and cut them in the shape of fingers and wash them at least six times in cold running water to remove as much as starch as possible..

Next, add the washed potato fingers into boiling water along with some vinegar in it.. let the potatoes boil in water for a couple of minutes and then drain off the excess water and again run it under cold water to stop the cooking process.

Do not boil the potatoes for too long.

Once you have washed the boiled potatoes, dry it using a cloth or a kitchen towel and then sprinkle a generous amount of corn flour onto the potatoes to form a thin coating.

Next, add a little sunflower oil in a pan and deep fry these fingers in the oil until crispy.

Once crispy and slightly golden, remove it from the oil onto a serving plate.

Finally, to assemble the burger, slightly roast a few slices of onions and tomatoes with some oil in a pan.

Cut the burger bun in half and layer the patties, roasted vegetables and lettuce, and top it with some tomato ketchup as per your taste and close the burger bun.

Serve the burger with the prepared French fries on the side…!!
