Macher Teler Chochchori – Famous Bengali Recipe Tel Chorchori

Today we will learn famous Bengali Macher Teler Chochchori. It is a very delicious spicy recipe. So let’s learn how to make macher tel chorchori and make it at home.

Ingredients of Bengali Macher Teler Chochchori:
1. Macher tel / fish fat / Fish oil (150gm).
2. Brinjal (150 gm, cut into medium size).
3. Potol / Pointed gourd (2 or 3 pcs, cut into long size).
4. Potato (1 big size, cut into long thin size).
5. Turmeric powder.
6. Salt.
7. 5 – 6 Slitted green chillis
8. Mustard oil.

Methods of How to cook Macher Teler Chorchori:
1. First take a big mixing bowl.
2. Add all the vegetables like brinjal, pointed gourd, and potatoes.
3. Add fish fat or fish oil.
4. Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, ¼ tsp salt, and slitted green chilli.
5. Add 2 tbsp mustard oil. Mix all the ingredients very well. Keep it for 5 min.
6. Add 1 tbsp mustard oil in hot pan.
7. Add whole mixture in pan and close the lid. Now cook in medium flame for 15 min.
8. In between stir two times.
9. After 15 min open the lid and mix it very well. close the lid again. Now cook in medium flame for 5 min.
10. After 5 min check salt. Add more as per your taste.
11. Now cook in high flame for 2 – 3 min.
12. Your recipe is ready. You can garnish it with Green chilli.
13. Serve hot with only hot steamed rice.
