Toor Dal – 1 Cup (250 Ml)
Goda Masala Powder – 2 Tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 Tsp
Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 Tsp
Ghee – 2 Tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 Tsp
Red Chili – 4 Nos
Curry Leaves
Water
Salt – 1 Tsp
Powdered Jaggery – 1 Tsp
Tamarind Puree – 2 Tbsp
Green Chili – 1 No.
Grated Coconut
Coriander Leaves
To Make Jeera Rice
Basmati Rice – 1 Cup
Water
Salt – 1 Tsp
Ghee – 2 Tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 Tbsp
Green Chili – 1 No. (Optional)

Method
Amti Dal
Boil toor dal with turmeric powder and asafoetida
Heat oil, crackle mustard seeds. Add curry leaves, red chilies, boiled dal, goda masala powder and water
Bring it to a boil, add jaggery, tamarind, salt and green chilies. Continue to boil for a few minutes
Finish with grated coconut, coriander leaves. Serve hot
Jeera Rice
Cook some long grain basmati rice and keep aside
Heat some ghee in a kadai
Add cumin seeds and roast them
Add green chilies and saute for 2 minutes,
Add cooked rice, salt and mix well
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot
