It’s important to keep in mind the spices used must be taken into account by the viewer and cook according to their threshold, preference and health conditions.

With that out of the way, today we will see how to prepare
Gasagase payasa/poppy seeds payasa/Kheer

Ingredients:
Poppy seeds :2 tsp
Cashew nuts :12-15
Jaggery powder :3/4 cup
Cardamom powder:1/4 tsp
Milk : 1 cup
Dry coconut :1 cup(grated)
Raisins :10 -12
Ghee : 2 tbsp
Method:
Soak poppy seeds in about ½ cup of water for about 10 to 15 mins. Now take a mixer jar and add soaked poppy seeds along with water, cashew nuts and coconut and grind to a smoot paste. Transfer this to a vessel and add ½ cup of water and bring it to a boil. Cook in low flame. In the meantime, take a small kadai, add ghee and once ghee melts add raisins and saute till the raisins puffiness. Now check if the grinded mixture is boiling, to this add the jaggery powder and stir it till the jaggery powder dissolves completely and boil for 5 mins. To this add the raisins along with ghee. Take off the stove and add cardamom powder and allow it to cool for 10 mins and then add milk. Tasty gasa gase payasam is ready. Serve it hot.
