Panakam Recipe
Ingredients

Jaggery – 1/2 cup (Buy: https://amzn.to/2RVA0YZ)
Water – 2 cups
Pepper – 1 tsp (Buy: https://amzn.to/2RPGoRp)
Cardamom pods – 4 (Buy: https://amzn.to/2U5Xxrn)
Finely chopped Ginger – 1 tsp

Method:
1. Melt the jaggery in a bowl of water.
2. Meanwhile, pound the Peppercorns and cardamom.
3. Once it is melted, strain the jaggery to remove excess dirt & add the pounded peppercorns and cardamom.
4. Pound ginger and add it.
5. Refrigerate and serve it cool.

  • In our home, we add dried ginger(sukku) and few drops of lemon juice to paanakam.. That is, Jaggery, water, powdered cardamom, sukku, lemon juice(a few drops)
