Chettinad Chicken Curry-Kerala Recipe/EPISODE 47

Ingredients
Chicken – 250gms.
Tomato chopped – 1nos.
Onion chopped – 1nos.
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp.
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp.
Chilli powder – as needed.
Coriander powder – 2tbsp.
Mustard seeds – as needed.
Curry leaves – as needed.
Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp.
Cumin powder – 1tsp.
Whole pepper crushed – as needed.
For the Masala
Cardamon – 7nos.
Cloves – 7nos.
Cinnamon – 1nos.
Bay leaves – 2 nos.
Method
Heat coconut oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. Add cumin seeds followed by ingredients listed under ‘ for the masala ’ . Saute for a minute.
Add onion, ginger garlic paste. Saute till fried.
Add turmeric powder,saute for a minute.
Turn heat to low and add coriander powder. Saute for a couple of minutes.
Add chilli powder. Saute till fried.
Add tomato, cumin powder and curry leaves. Mix well. Cover and cook the tomato at low flame.
Add chicken and salt. Cover and cook at medium flame. Add crushed pepper to the chicken. Mix well. Switch off flame. Move to a serving dish and Enjoy!!!
