HOW TO MAKE PARIPPU VADA(Kerala Style)/EPISODE 61

Description :

Ingredients:
Chanadal / Kadalaparippu (Soaked for 2 hours)
Shallots (Sliced)
Ginger (Crushed)
Curry leaves
Green chilly
Dry red chilly
Salt
Coconut oil

Steps:
Drain the soaked chana dal and coarsely grind it without adding water.
Do not grind fine. Just pulse once. Then mix well and pulse again.
Transfer it to a bowl.
Add shallots, ginger, curry leaves, green chilly, dry red chilly and salt.
Mix well with your hands.
Cover and let it rest for 2 hours.

Heat oil in a kadai.
Pinch small balls of the batter and flatten it as medium thick discs.
Do not shape the edges.
Invert it to the other hand and slide it into the hot oil
Cook both sides till golden on medium flame.
Each batch takes 10 minutes.
Remove and enjoy the parippuvada hot.
