Ingredients

Beef – 1 kg(cleaned and cut into medium sized pieces)

Ingredients to cook Beef

1. Plantain – 2 nos(cut to medium sized pieces)
2. Turmeric powder – ¾ tbsp.
3. Crushed black pepper – ½ tbsp.
4. Green chilli – as needed
5. Onion chopped – ½ nos.
6. Ginger crushed – 1 large piece.

Ginger crushed – 1 large piece.
Shallots crushed – 4 nos.
Garlic crushed – 8 nos.
Crushed black pepper – ½ tbsp.
Coriander powder – 11/2 tbsp.
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp.
Fennel seeds powdered -1 tbsp.
Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp.
Curry leaves. – 1 sprig.

Method

Mix beef with salt, ½ of turmeric powder, crushed black pepper, green chillies, chopped onion and crushed ginger. Cook beef with enough water till ¾ th done. Add plantain, mix well. Pressure cook till 1 whistle.

Heat coconut oil in a pan. Splutter the mustard seeds. Add shallots, ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Saute till fried.

Turn heat to medium. Add turmeric powder and saute for a couple of minutes.

Add coriander powder, saute till fried. Add chilli powder, saute for a couple of minutes and add crushed black pepper. Saute for about a minute.

Add cooked beef and plantain followed by powdered fennel seeds. Mix well.

Boil till the desired consistency is reached. Switch off flame.
Serve hot and Enjoy!!!
