Onion Thokku- microwave method
Ingredients:
Peded small onions – 1 cup chopped
Big lemon sized
Tamarind
Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Jaggery- little
Oil- as req
Roasted fenugreek powder- 1 tsp
Roasted mustard powder- ½ tsp
For seasoning:
Mustard seeds, asafoetida powder
Method:
1.chop peeled onion finely.
2. take in a micro proof vessels with a very litle oil, close with lid and cook at 100% for 2 to 3 minutes.
3. add tamarind paste, jaggery, chilli powder very little water. Mix well. Keep for another 1 minute.
5. heat little oil sepratel, add mustard seeds allow to splutter mix asafoetida powder and pour over thokku.
Mix mustard powder, fenugreek powder and transfer to a clean dry bottle.
